Ingredients

  • Avanti Delights Indian Basa Fish – 500g
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Oil – 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – 1 to 2 tbsp

Cooking Instructions

Step 1:
In a bowl, mix ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, pepper, garam masala, lemon juice, oil, salt, and 1 to 2 tbsp of water to form a smooth paste.
Step 2:
Apply the marinade evenly over the Avanti Delight Basa Fish fillets. Let it rest for 20 – 30 minutes for better flavour.
Step 3:
Preheat oven to 180°C. Place the marinated fish on a lined tray. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes until the fish is cooked and slightly crisp on edges.
Step 4:
Squeeze a little extra lemon juice, and Garnish with coriander leaves or onion rings.

Serving Suggestion

Serve hot with green chutney, salad, or steamed rice for a simple homestyle meal.
